Thank you Cee for Share Your World. Can’t believe its a month since I last submitted a post. Here are my answers.
List 2 things you have to be happy about?
Oh dear, I have a long list of what to be happy about – will share just two.
One is being able to walk along the beautiful promenade on the beachfront here in Durban. I try to start my walk just before sunrise, this is my soul food. I’m not alone, many Durbanites (those who live in Durban) enjoy their mornings here before work. You will meet cyclists, runners, swimmers, surfers, fisherman and walkers, some with dogs.
Durban enjoys wonderful weather virtually year round. We are able to walk most mornings even during our winters.
Sunrise drenching Durban’s beaches and piers
Durban Beachfront early morning in winter
I am also happy that despite my children living far from me, I am able to see them on a regular basis. Can’t imagine life if we were separated for long periods of time.
Have you ever owned a rock, pet rock, or gem that is not jewellery?
No. Many years ago my husband gave me a beautiful Opal which is my birthstone. I treasured it for a few years before having it made into a ring which I still have to this day.
Are you a hugger or a non-hugger?
I’m a non-hugger and often get teased about it. One of my friends insists on hugging me until I hug her back. I admire huggers and try to imitate their affection but don’t seem to be able to keep it up for too long!!
What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week?
On Saturday I enjoyed lunch with my late mom’s sister and her husband. Although I was reminded of my painful loss, I appreciated hearing them reminisce about my parents when they were young.
